What should I put for my location on my resume? My full address, just city/state... what about my country?

When applying for jobs within your home country, just put City, State in your resume's header as your location (no need for street address or country).

When applying for jobs outside of your home country, add your country (and if helpful, whether or not you need sponsorship from your employer).

In almost no circumstance (unless explicitly required) should you put your street address on your resume; it's not useful or important, and feels a little weird these days.

Now, here's an interesting tidbit: we actually recommend listing your location as the nearest big city that people may recognize, and not the actual small town or suburb you live in. For example, if you live in Evanston, IL, just put Chicago, IL in your resume header, especially if applying for jobs outside of Illinois. (If you're applying for local or service jobs that require you to be in-person as an aspect of the job, it's fine to put your actual town or city on your resume so they know you're nearby.)
